Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: A glorious mixture of malt, sweet pipe smoke subtle grape and leather and a sprinkling of peat.
Palate: An absolute flavour explosion of sweet and dry malt, cherries, vanilla and a fruit cocktail.
Finish: Heaps of vanilla and other subtle oaky tones and lashings of sweet malt.
Comment: This single bottling places Glengoyne in the super-league status; the finest expression from this distillery.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very aromatic, appetising and softly spicy.
Palate: Very malty. Long and unfolding. Clean. Sweet start. Creamy flavours, becoming cookie-like and nutty.
Finish: Chewy, malty. Very soft, restrained, dessert apple.
Comment: Delicious example of maltiness in a whisky. I always enjoy Glengoynes very much, but they invariably leave me wanting a little more.
