Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty. Muësli. Butterscotch. Some buttery biscuit. And fruit. Pear pie. Some earthy peat in the back.
Palate: Smooth and round. Pleasant velvety feel. A bit weak at mid-palate. Toffeeapple. Poached pears in a vanilla syrup. Touch of hazelnut.
Finish: Dry, gently spicy. Nutty. Liquorice.
Comment: A well-balanced dram. Enjoyable, just lacks some muscle.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A little damp cardboard (not a bad thing) at first then breakfast cereal. Malt loaf, oat biscuits and pears in custard. Ice cream sodas. Also a mossy, leaf mulch note.
Palate: Soft and gentle almost silky. The malt loaf note is here with butter. Apples and melted milk chocolate fruit and nut bars.
Finish: Drying with Pontefract cakes and a hint of peat.
Comment: A decent everyday dram, perfect for any occasion.
