Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Stewed fruits with a little cream, green apples. A hint of shaved oak. Hard toffee bars and just a gentle hint of tobacco ash.
Palate: At first mixed spice, ginger, cinnamon. Then more fruit emerges, raspberries and blueberries. A hint of liquorice at the end too.
Finish: Pleasantly warming.
Comment: A good addition to the Benromach Distillery range.
7.8
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty and slightly lactic. Buttery. Milk parlour. Then a note of dampness. Cider cellar. Hint of wet moss. With water, a touch of leather.
Palate: Satin-like. Sour fruit. Bramley apple cooked in a ginger syrup. Drying on ground ginger.
Finish: Dry, spicy.
Comment: Give this whisky time to open on a sweeter side.
