Tasting notes

Taster Jim Murray

Nose: Understatedly rich, with a glorious yet subtle honey sweetness which is in total harmony with the banana custard background. Fabulous.
Palate: Brilliant intermingling of malt and honey which makes way for a deftly oaked middle. The tantalising spicy buzzes complement the complexity.
Finish: Medium long with the remnants of a honey-comb sweetness jousts with the soft spice.
Comment: This is Bushmills at its peak.

Taster Michael Jackson

Nose: That leathery, saddlery, Irish note. Linseedy, nutty, grassy. Soft but wonderfully scenty.
Palate: Fresh. Lightly creamy. Develops nuts and marzipan.
Finish: Faintly spicy. Orange zest. Dessert apple.
Comment: Tightly combined flavours. Delicate. Elegant.
