Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Dried leaves and herbs, burnt bracken, heather. Aromatic, with a prickle ofapricot skin. Melting brown sugar.
Palate: Fruity and juicy. Plenty of soft fruit, hints of peach, mango, then movinginto gentle spices.
Finish: Lush and aromatic, then drying.
Comment: A quiet talking dram for those contemplative moments.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Mature. Sweet almond, cigar box, fried banana, honey and coal dustsmokiness. Musk like.
Palate: Waxy, sweet and lifted. Smoothly textured with some melted chocolate, sweet orange and honeyed underpinned by cereal, herbs.
Finish: Sweet with tropical fruits and dying fire.
Comment: Strangely similar to a golden rum - albeit a smoky one.
