Tasting notes

Taster Joel Harrison

Nose: Passion fruit and oak. This is a very inviting nose, which doesn’t overpower but beckons in.
Palate: Really very tasty indeed with golden syrup, freshly made jam doughnuts, a hint of vanilla and a touch of oak.
Finish: Some spice (cinnamon) but mainly vanilla goodness.
Comment: A cracking whisky from Sweden. Praise for the Swedes coming from a man who holds a Norwegian passport – it must be good!

Taster Chris Goodrum

Nose: Intense, pungent, youthful and herbal. Rye-like with hints of apricot, gritty coffeed wood tannins and creamy vanilla. Although young, it has a lovely complexity. Biscuity and malty notes.
Palate: Sweet apricot, followed by malt, barley and herbaceous notes. Dried fruit, coffee and creamy American oak on the middle. Becomes very Bourbon-like.
Finish: Long, alcoholic and herbal, again almost rye-like and a light marc-like note, the oak returns on the after-taste.
Comment: Wonderfully intense. Comes across like a multi-grain barley / rye whisky. A drop of water takes off the edge.
