Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fat and unctuous with some resinous notes moving into Worcester sauce. Light smoke, Iced Gems, cedar, fig, stewed tea, caramelised fruits.
Palate: Very slow and soft showing real maturity. Fungal. Structure and grip. Good age, with a nutty oaky start which grows and opens beautifully.
Finish: Fades into chocolate, dust and velvet.
Comment: An excellent mature spirit.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Powerful. Sliced blood oranges in Maraschino liqueur.
Palate: Fruity. Cherryish. Sappy. Falls away somewhat.
Finish: Late resurgence of fruity flavours. Cream soda.
Comment: After that sensuous aroma, the palate is subtle to the point of reticence. Still interesting.
