Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Heavier and oakier than the age suggests but with a big, waxy, sherry note offering a cleaner, richer dimension.
Palate: Quite massive with a big sherry surge that breaks against a big malt middle and delicious spices.
Finish: Long, magnificently oaky and proud. Some cocoa and sherry fight for the finish but intertwine.
Comment: Wow!! Who would have thought a mere Speysider could offer such personality and depth?
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Sherry, mint, pralines. Oakier (and smokier?) than the earlier version of a'bunadh.
Palate: Very rich, and creamy. Cherries. Ginger.
Finish: Nougat, cherry-brandy, ginger, fragrant smoke.
Comment: Darker, drier and more spicily assertive than the earlier version, despite only a slight difference in ages.
