Tasting notes
Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: Smoky bacon crisps, honey and maple syrup glazed ham on a barbeque. Hints of camphor, lint, damp wool with a sharpness of chutney and clean smoke.
Palate: Wet charcoal and ash from the barbeque, cool flint and wet slate. Sun blush tomatoes, pulled pork and spiced chorizo with a smoky peanut finish.
Finish: Upfront, fast and furious, it doesn’t hang around.
Comment: Very easy drinking.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Spirit, not a lot of wood impact here, this is more like a perfumed white wine. Peaches, white chocolate and some lavender. A bit waxy.
Palate: Spent match, burnt custard, candle wax and cheap purfume. This is more like an aged mezcal than a whisky (which is interesting in itself) with a squeeze of lime.
Finish: A hint of smoke which gives life to some sweet white flowers and bitter lemon.
Comment: This could do with much longer in the cask before being let out into the world. Makes me hope bottle-aging exists.
