Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Initially a little closed, but a sooty, leathery note develops first, polished mahogany, fresh mint and an earthy/turf/wet leaves note.
Palate: Quite sweet, leading into toffee, a ittle Arabica coffee and dark chocolate.
Finish: The sweetness continues into the finish, but brings with it some altogether more zesty undertones.
Comment: A little muted - not singing at full pelt, but not whispering either. Perhaps lacks a bit of direction.
8.2
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty. Hazelnut toffee. Chestnut purée. Autumn fruit. On time, vanilla custard. A distant smoky note. Milk chocolate and toffee bar.
Palate: Round and smooth. Apples and pears compote. Muesli. Drying on soft spices. More milk chocolate.
Finish: Dry and spicy.
Comment: A well balanced dram with a good malty core.
