Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Light. Sweet eating apples (Cox), crusty bread, banana, sage. It's a bloody picnic! Perfumed with light smoke and a vegetal note. Hint of linoleum.
Palate: Soft. Medium bodied. Cooked apple, lemon and lime zest and sweet spices. Understated.
Finish: A wisp of peat smoke.
Comment: A good example from an underrated distillery. Now all we need is an Allied bottling.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Slight peat. Burnt wood. Faintly astringent.
Palate: On the light side for this whisky. The big, creamy maltiness that I expect in Ardmore seems to have attenuated instead to a papery, metallic, thinness.
Finish: Quick. Astringent.
Comment: Starts slowly, and seems uncertain as to where it is going.
