Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Fragrant moving to honey and vanilla cake. A touch of warmed tyre. Toffee inwaxed wrappers.
Palate: Sweet all the way. A few fruit notes and a gentle oak grip.
Finish: Sweet and fruity.
Comment: Another summertime dram.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Seems to occupy a mid-point between the previous pair. Suet pudding, proving bread, opening into porridge with (gasp!) sugar and dried fruit. Butterscotch and honey again.
Palate: Slightly yeasty with intense citrus that's shifting into wax. Demerarasugar and lightly minty.
Finish: Gently smoky with light spice.
Comment: Balanced and lightly complex.
