Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Winey. Treacle toffee.
Palate: Despite hefty oak and sherry, the distillery character survives. The characteristic hazelnut dryness extends into a maltiness reminiscent of hard cookies. Like drinking a Bath Oliver biscuit.
Finish: Some cedary oak.
Comment: I usually find delicate old Glen Grants to be overwhelmed by oak. This example makes for a mature dram with considerable complexity.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Oily, dried fruits, hint of rancio and Marmite. Burnt orange, allspice, nutmeg and clove.
Palate: Soft start builds nicely good weight. Rich and sherried, tannic but a chocolate/coffee richness and depth to it.
Finish: Woody and a bit short.
Comment: Interesting and while not overly woody (given its age) one for sherried malt lovers only.
