Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Hint of mint. Restrained spices. Very subtle, complex and attractive.
Palate: Extremely syrupy. Herbal. Lightly nutty.
Finish: Familiar sweet, smoky notes and emerging.
Comment: Blindfold, I am not sure I would not recognise this as a Macallan until that familiar finish.
8.5
Taster   David Robertson
Nose: Wood with hints of dried fruits, peat smoke and cinnamon spice.
Palate: Appley, lemons and peat smoke.
Finish: Richly phenolic with fresh lemons.
Comment: Macallan was a peaty whisky from the mid 1930's through to the late 1940s.
