Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Earthy, oaky, forest floor with a damp wood, dunnage warehouse note. There is a little youth on show here too. Some demerara sugar and a creamy edge.
Palate: Simple and clean, a little floral sweetness. Then malt loaf develops with some sharp green fruits and clotted cream.
Finish: Warm and fruity with the oak coming through.
Comment: Fairly complex and engaging.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense, oaky. Fresh oak with a touch of varnish. Opens on a floral note. Marshmallow. In the back butterscotch and a hint of barley sugar.
Palate: Sweet and gently flowing on the tongue. More malty flavours than expected. A refreshing mint note.
Finish: Gentle, slightly drying on an oak note. Almond skin aftertaste.
Comment: The palate is more appealing than the nose. A pleasant dram, leaving a freshfeeling. Better neat than diluted.
