Tasting notes
Taster   Becky Paskin
Nose: Bittersweet, with liquorice twists and black treacle toffee, ground walnut and blackcurrant jam. Polished leather and mahogany bookcases.
Palate: Rich, thick and with dark, syrupy PX sherry, marzipan and treacle. Apricots soaked in honey, warm gingerbread and milk chocolate. Old coffee granules and a dank, earthy dunnage warehouse vibe.
Finish: Ginger spice and dry sherry.
Comment: One to excite the sherry bomb lovers out there. You know who you are.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Borders on savoury with sweet elements. Candy-coated hazelnuts, dark chocolate and dried cherries. Quince jelly and creamy blue goat’s cheese. Red liquorice shoelace sweets and freshly ground coffee.
Palate: Prunes in syrup, pears poached in sherry. Ginger snap biscuits, that mix of sweet and spicy. Slowly some autumn spices emerge, leaf mulch and bonfires.
Finish: Dries out leaving raisins, dark plums and sweet-scented smoke.
Comment: A sherry slap, but tempered with those additional lovely sweet components.
