Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Very ripe bananas and papayas, extra virgin olive oil and a touch of plasticine. Greek yoghurt with blossom honey. Vanilla ice cream and some delicate lemon zest, with subtle notes of ground coriander seed.
Palate: Straddles the ground between tropical and green-grassy. Dried pineapple and more papaya, with bison grass (holy grass) and a touch of lime pickle. Borders on hoppy.
Finish: Medium length and fruity, fades on that bison grass note.
Comment: Nicely spirit-forward distillery character on display.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Herbal, then foam bananas, dried sage and rubber, like a pencil eraser. Dry hay, leafy green veg and fir trees. Vanilla cream filling – the kind you’d get in choux pastry – and geraniums.
Palate: More of that herbal dried sage. Then it’s new rubber tyres, peppery spice warmth, tropical fruit mix and coconut shavings.
Finish: Medium, and once the heat lifts you’re left with bright fruit.
Comment: I’m into it. I like the combination of herbal notes with a little sweetness and warming spice. It’s fun to sit with.
