Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Delicious resinous notes, like an old cigar box with ginger spice. Crème caramel pudding appears, followed by almonds and marzipan and rich berry compote.
Palate: Really delicate considering the ABV. There’s a lot of that almond goodness, new sandalwood and ginger spice heat. There’s a sweetness to it, kind of like stewed red apples and some leathery upholstery.
Finish: The finish is woody and sweet.
Comment: This is a lovely sweet treat and I can’t think of a bad word to say.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Milk chocolate and damson plums, a touch of hickory and a dollop of black treacle. Coffee liqueur and black bean sauce. Black cherry jam and cedarwood blocks. There’s a bag of cinder toffee too.
Palate: Well integrated and brings the party from the nose. Almond and more plums with some blackcurrant and a glug of kirsch. Chocolate shortcrust pastry. Slightly earthy.
Finish: Medium length, that kirsch note lingers.
Comment: One for the lovers of Black Forest gateau.
