Tasting notes

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Sweet buttercream, then homemade fruit loaf, full of dried fruit, chopped dates and almond flakes, with a hint of toffee drizzle.
Palate: Things become more Christmas cakey here, with sultanas, more dried fruit, dark chocolate and hazelnut bar and a hit of espresso.
Finish: A little vanilla pod sweetness, with the return of the creamy fruit cake and a hint of spice.
Comment: This is lovely with a whole lot of potential.

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Grapefruit cream pie with shortcrust pastry, peach-flavoured gummy rings, foam banana sweets and white chocolate. A little brown sugar, custard and lime cordial.
Palate: Light-medium bodied. Flying Saucer sweets: orange and lime sherbet, with accompanying fizz, and rice paper. Fondant cables, yuzu and green notes reminiscent of shallot and cucumber.
Finish: Medium length. The yuzu and green notes dominate.
Comment: Clean and showing promise, but has some growing up still to do.
