Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Sherry, mint, pralines. Luxurious.
Palate: Very rich and creamy, with just a hint of mint and cherries behind.
Finish: Nougat, cherry brandy, ginger, faint smoke. Definitely an afterdinner whisky.
Comment: A dark, luxurious, post-prandial whisky from a distillery that is producing an increasing, and impressive range.
8.5
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Incredibly aromatic, thanks partly to a subtle peatiness. The sherry notes are concentrated and there is massive fruit ranging from mango to apples. Enormous.
Palate: The sherry tries to dominate but fails. Peppery spices, lightly smoked malt, clean sherry mingling with paw-paw and a vague nuttiness.
Finish: Long, clean sherry, hints of citrus fruit and cocoa. The peppers linger.
Comment: Surprising complexity; very, very good.
