Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Light straw. Waxed jackets/beeswax/oily with some bracing saltiness.
Palate: A sweet oily start, then it rolls around the palate nicely. Rich, waxy with a hint of sea spray livening things up.
Finish: A vibrant mix of oily fruit and sour/salty notes.
Comment: In the classic distillery style, but a pretty feisty young punk for all that.
8.0
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Unusually buttery for this malt. Some herbal, spicy notes.
Palate: Malty. Syrupy. Black treacle. Woody.
Finish: Peaty, salty, peppery, mustardy, hot.
Comment: I normally rate Clynelish very highly, but this bottling leaves its fireworks until the last minute, and with more heat than light.
