Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Slightly astringent and lower peated than one might expect. Remains fresh, but a little green and a tad feinty.
Palate: Big and cumbersome on the palate with most extraordinary malty, gristy sweetness. Quite brawny.
Finish: Long and oily with some drier, almost bitter almond notes.
Comment: About as subtle as a Peckinpah film and about as violent on the palate, too. Monster stuff.
7.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very light for this distillery. Sweetness and pepper. Seaweed.
Palate: Oily, lightly malty, sweetish.
Finish: Light pepper.
Comment: A curiously insipid bottling.
