Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Classically malty and fat on the nose but with an exceptional fresh fruit richness. Quite lovely.
Palate: Gloriously oily and malty. Fabulously clean malt interspersed with gentle spice and vanilla.
Finish: Long and simple. Little complexity but an attractive malt glow lingers, helped by the rich oils.
Comment: Better than either of the standard bottlings and true to the style which has made this the island's most popular dram.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Heather. Flowery. Mint. Menthol. Faintly medicinal. Salt.
Palate: Very light but oily. Passion fruit. Grassy.
Finish: Minty. Peppermint. Drying.
Comment: Interesting, but not typical.
