Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Straw/gold. Once water has been added, a fragrant aroma emerges-freesia, cherry, iced gems, rose petals, pears in syrup behind.
Palate: Round, silky mouthfeel. The high alcohol propels it across the palate with fragrant floral flavours, light oak and sweet fruit all playing off each other.
Finish: Syrupy and sweet.
Comment: Tremendous stuff-with lots of water
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Roses. Floral. Creamy.
Palate: Creamy, soft. Treacle tart. Flapjack. Fruity. (cherries?). Slightly spicy (ginger?).
Finish: Lemony. Lively.
Comment: Linkwood always evokes thoughts of sweetmeats, sometimes delicate, on other occasions more robust. This is in the latter mood: down-to-earth sweetness.
