Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fruity sourness. Cider apple. Ripe apricot. Vanilla cream biscuits. Fresh saw. Sappy. Beeswax. A floral touch. Gillyflower.
Palate: Round and mellow. Oak frames the fruity flavours. Light spices. Enticing.
Finish: Medium, sweet with a fresh bitter edge. Nutty.
Comment: A rich grain whisky on the fruity side. Interesting.
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Appealing, complex and broad becoming honeyed with fudge/tablet, cream and BIG vanilla toffee notes. Herbal as well, with some fresh pineapple and pear. Water firms the oak up.
Palate: Very smooth and rounded but given balancing grip from the oak. Fudge, tangerine, zest. Touch of firm grain on the sides. It then drifts into smooth toffee once more.
Finish: Lush long and ripe. Macaroon bars.
Comment: Best on its own or one cube of ice.
