Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Musty. A walk in a pinetree forest on a rainy day. Damp walls. Develops into creamy aromas. Vanilla toffee. Hint of polished floor.
Palate: Lusciously sweet with a tender bitter sour bit (sloe). Syrupy. Butterscotch. Turns tickling. Sherbety. Nutmeg and ginger.
Finish: Creamy, spicy, everlasting.
Comment: Quite a character. Water mellows the spicy burn. Would match well with a chicken 'à la crème'

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fresh and clean with a sweet hay note. There's also oak, light peach and coconut. In time a smokiness emerges. Citric and zesty with water.
Palate: Good intensity with fine grip showing good balance between the char and a mouthcoating, sweet, sensual mid-palate of nougat, cream, tinned fruit and orange blossom honey.
Finish: Light smoke. The sweet citrus notes return.
Comment: This delivers on palate rather than nose. Oak is just a little hard though.
