Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Fig jam, furniture polish, washed coffee bean, chicory, and black treacle. Crisp green apple, lemon and lime zest oils, and brambles. Dark chocolate. Some complex potpourri top notes.
Palate: Medium. Dark chocolate and coffee cake, chewy toffees, and cashew. Subtle Christmas cake spices and walnut liqueur. The citrus oils and crisp apple notes are here too. Takes water well.
Finish: Medium-short. Fades on the apple, citrus and chocolate notes.
Comment: Wonderfully moreish. Don’t let the high ABV put you off.
8.4
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Delightful notes of Christmas cake, with sultanas, candied peel, cherries, cinnamon and sweet vanilla cream.
Palate: Cinnamon biscuits appear here, with more of the vanilla cream, almond flakes, and sherried cherries.
Finish: Medium length, with lovely cinnamon and sultana kicks.
Comment: This is lovely, sweet, spicy and something you could sip for hours.
