Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Lemon fromage frais, sawn oak, and delicate cumin spice. Some sweet florals (honeysuckle) and honeydew melon with (you guessed it) blossom honey drizzle.
Palate: Medium body and well integrated. Plenty of those honey notes from the nose, with ripe blueberries and a little lemon drizzle cake.
Finish: Those honey notes linger for a medium-length finish. Dries on the blueberry note.
Comment: Isn’t it funny how whisky writers like honey? Buzz, buzz, buzz…
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Relatively closed at first and delicate, baked kefir milk that’s quite sour, green tomatoes on stalks, pear drops, fresh and floral elderflower with a drizzle of light honey over madeira cake.
Palate: Just the faintest hint of sweet smoke, a shed on a warm summer’s day, more pear drops, fresh fruit salad and a little pencil eraser. Peppery warmth of allspice and honey biscuits.
Finish: Relatively drying but remains fresh, leaving elderflower.
Comment: It’s not in your face, it just shows you a lovely time.
