Tasting notes

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Manuka honey water and daffodils, vanilla cream and lemon zest. Fresh-cut grass and orange boiled sweets. With time comes patchouli, subtle gentian and a touch of waxiness.
Palate: Silky. Well integrated and the citrus and honey notes carry from the nose. Dried mango chutney and peach slices. Smoked orange segments and white chocolate.
Finish: Medium, with more of those orange boiled sweets. Gently drying.
Comment: Very easy drinking and quite moreish.

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: A touch of nail varnish remover, rubber shavings and chocolate wafer biscuits. Warming notes of stewed red berries, a dusting of cinnamon and a little lemon grass.
Palate: It’s almost mossy, bringing some fresh greenery to the picture. Some dark berries and heather round it out.
Finish: Medium length with a lovely prickle of heat, warming and pretty green.
Comment: It’s quite charming without giving too much away.
