Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Orange barley water, light aromatic cigar leaves, a very faint elusive woodsmoke note. Oak chests packed with woollen blankets. Toffee cream sweets and walnut whips. A little goats cheese and honey on nutty crackers.
Palate: That orange sherbet barley sweetness, roast apple compote and a hint of warm pastry. Spices start to rise. Toasted pinenuts too.
Finish: Sweet with those spices taking hold.
Comment: A lovely drop with the swagger of youth on display.
8.5
Taster   Kate Packwood
Nose: Blueberry compote and lashings of honey, digestive biscuits, apple purée and lemon drizzle cake.
Palate: Dark chocolate covered almonds, Hobnob biscuits, strawberry jam and a hint of plum.
Finish: Jammy and long with lasting vanilla.
Comment: Like an afternoon at a cake sale, all cakes and biscuits and jam. Comforting and a little bit unchallenging.
