Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: An intriguing blend of savoury and jammy notes. Strawberry gummy sweets, Kriek, sourdough, and barbecue pork. With time, old dunnage notes and cherry brandy.
Palate: Wonderfully sweet and fruity from the outset. Brambles and blackcurrants, wine gums and tinned peaches. Some more tropical notes too: dried mango and roasted pineapple slices.
Finish: As the fruitiness fades, a gentle nuttiness comes to the fore.
Comment: It’s liquid trail mix. Nicely moreish.
8.2
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Plenty earthy this one with some really lovely leaf mulch tinges to it. Flamed orange segments, cherry bitters and a wisp of smoke.
Palate: That wisp of smoke builds up a little but the orange tang and meringue sweetness balance it out. Oak slowly increases its grip.
Finish: Long and plenty of oak grip to it.
Comment: Well balanced and really quite restorative.
