Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Lively and enticing: soft peppers, citrus and oak. Superb.
Palate: Surprisingly oily for a triple-distilled malt. Mouthwateringly fresh barley and a superb crisp, slightly sweet malt-chocolate interplay - like a Malteser candy.
Finish: A sweet malt glow.
Comment: A highly sophisticated dram. Intensely malty. Has improved enormously over the last few years.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Perfumes of lemongrass, linseed oil and vanilla.
Palate: Zest of lemon, marshmallow. Sweet but not cloying.
Finish: Vanilla, perfumy. Good balance, nicely rounded. Soothing. Long.
Comment: Very expressive when young - as might be expected from a classic Lowlander.
8.5
