Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Waxy, with a dark honeyed note, leading into cinnamon bark, menthol and bonfire toffee, with a touch of old leather.
Palate: Very rich. With dried figs, dark toffee, some menthol notes and a very malty heart.
Finish: Lingering notes of dried apple peel, some chestnut and a spicy dryness.
Comment: Like this a lot. A proper old-school fire side dram.
8.4
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Crunchie Nut cornflakes drenched in Armagnac hidden inside a haystack.
Palate: Toasted brown bread, cracked black pepper and some allspice. Herbaceous and powerful, it fills the mouth.
Finish: Wood spices of oak and cinnamon sticks. Some vanilla.
Comment: Almost the perfect breakfast in a glass really.
