Tasting notes
Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: Soft blackcurrant and cinnamon syrup. Molasses and liquorice. Water opens it up with barbequed wood and a hint of ash. Coffee, toffee and eucalyptus.
Palate: Hickory smoked beef and bresaola. Tobacco leaf and cocoa bean. Expensive warm shoe leather. With water comes menthol.
Finish: Toasted, warming and rich, then cooling.
Comment: Sophisticated and beautifully integrated. Unusual flavours for Balblair but they work.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Lush fruits and cream, toffee and honeycomb. Raisin fudge. Some dark fruits like plums and blackberries.
Palate: Very silky smooth, runny honey sweetness, that raisin fudge note dominates, the citrus zip comes out.
Finish: Smooth, gentle and warming.
Comment: This is a great after dinner dram to relax with.
