Tasting notes

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: Green apple laces, hot lemon water and raspberry yoghurt. A spice develops with toasted chilli flakes, star anise and apple crumble followed by a rich leathery note.
Palate: A major whack of spice, that eventually allows cereal notes to come through. Neapolitan ice cream and roasted apples.
Finish: Hot and spicy, lengthened with a creamy texture.
Comment: Remember the first time you had a curry... tongue on fire, instantly followed with such joy.

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Plenty of wood notes to kick off and vanilla custard with cinnamon topping. A little cigar box then plenty of dark forest honey. Gentle fruit, peaches and apricots.
Palate: Initially green apple and poached pears, then wood. Runny honey and marmalade follow. Maple syrup and grilled pineapple.
Finish: Both warming and engaging.
Comment: Really moreish, as those spices open up to make a really lovely and easily drinkable whisky.
