Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Rich and lush. Layers of brown sugar, toffee fudge cake and freshly sawn logs. There's a spiciness here too, fresh ginger and smoked peppers. Balanced with dark skinned fruits, plums, blackberries and blueberry jam.
Palate: Huge waves of caramel at first and then tiramisu – coffee, cream and sherry. Tempered with trail mix sweetness, Medjool dates and candied walnuts. Distant wood smoke lurks.
Finish: Long with blueberry jam.
Comment: An exciting dram with lots of punch.

Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: An encouraging oily yet creamy start; linseed oil, coconut fudge, brandy buttercream and rhubarb yoghurt, followed by more fruit that reminds you of opening a box of Sun-Maid raisins.
Palate: Rich, creamy textures carry through and our swiftly followed by notes of used coffee grinds, hazelnuts, orange marmalade on burnt toast.
Finish: As expected, oily and creamy in texture with a slight metallic note at the back.
Comment: Definitely one for the umami lovers out there.
