Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Intense tinned pineapple and cloudy apple juice. Rum-soaked sultanas and poached pear. A whack of estery funk. This really is rum territory. Sweet caramel biscuit and candied ginger. Custard on mixed fruit strudel.
Palate: Medium bodied and intense. It’s all pineapple and mango, with juniper, star anise and fresh green pepper. Peach candy. A retronasal potpourri element. Sweet cereal notes lurk in the back.
Finish: Medium length. Fades on florals, then jumps to cookie dough.
Comment: This is a real showstopper.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Tropical fruit notes of mango, red berry compote, and rich golden syrup that leads into almond paste and crystallised ginger chunks.
Palate: Rich and velvety. More of that almond paste with some nutmeg and fruitcake notes. Becomes quite herbal with heather honey, before the drying ginger spice wraps it up.
Finish: Very dry and medium length with a lingering green stalky note, then fresh peppermint cream.
Comment: Considering the ABV, this has a lot of space to explore before the drying finish.
