Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Wood ashes and charcoal smoke. A little eraser and pencil lead. Smoked vanilla and blackened crème brûlée top. Underneath, there’s custard, dried apricot, and stewed plum notes.
Palate: Medium. Complex smoked cherry, toffee, poached pear in brandy, and almond biscotti notes. A little nougat. Physalis and coffee cream chocolates, too.
Finish: Medium-long, on coffee and wood smoke.
Comment: Fabulously complex and well rounded. Love it.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Warming comfort, with a hint of frangipane, mango slices, tickling ginger spice and light smoke off a barbeque.
Palate: A lovely continuation, with a fruit bowl of tropical notes, stem ginger warmth, desiccated almonds and chocolatey smoke.
Finish: A lovely, nutty medium-length finish.
Comment: A really lovely balance of what could be potentially overpowering flavours.
