Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A little alcohol prickle, water tames this, golden syrup, ginger biscuits, lime jelly, then earthy with fresh carrots, stewed plums and walnut skins.
Palate: Soft and gentle, then waves of ginger and chili bean spice. Dark mint chocolate and field mushrooms cooked in butter. All wrapped in creamy vanilla and aromatic spices.
Finish: Chocolatey and a little chili, dries with a grapefruit sharpness.
Comment: Completely blindsides you, started Speysidey then disappeared into hot sauce and spices. Really fun and very intriguing.
8.7
Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Honeyed at first, but descends quickly into hay barns, cut grass and toffee. More mineraly, like a Riesling. Fresh green apples. Gooseberries and kiwi fruits. Lemonade.
Palate: Overwhelming notes of citrus and grass. Grapefruit juice with apples, perhaps a touch of pineapple to boot. Green tea and light honey.
Finish: Short, grassy and astringent with cloves and ginger. Over quickly.
Comment: The most boring fellow at the party.
