Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Very heady and rich floral with distant citrus. Sweetness with agave syrup, lychee juice and cherry lozenges. Hints of farm yard here too, fresh mown grass and hay bales.
Palate: Full on Crème Brûlee, brown sugar and toffee pennies. Cooked down fruit, sweet with a little tartness, blackberry compote. Also a creamy element, vanilla ice cream, coating like liqueur.
Finish: Suddenly freshens up and dries with cinnamon spices.
Comment: Good solid stuff here, nothing over diverting but a great bold dram.
8.7
Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Pretty potent, with something coconut like hanging around the back. Then moves into vanilla custard.
Palate: Fruit comes to the party, which is underpinned by a gentle smoke. Builds into sweetness and a touch more spice.
Finish: A little apple peel and then, malt, malt and malt which dries just a bit.
Comment: Some good layers, without doing anything too controversial. Definitely worth a go.
