Tasting notes
Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Sweet. Vanilla fudge and caramel syrup. Fruity chocolate lies beneath this. Freshly ground coffee.
Palate: Very coating with more of the sweetness to start with. Tropical fruit salad and a malt note. A popcorn flavour comes through right at the end, with spiced caramel and a faint nuttiness; almonds especially.
Finish: Long and quite bracing. A little more of that sweetness.
Comment: Well rounded with exciting notes coming through. Shows what you expect from a grain, but with a few of its own nuances.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Sherry, dried orange peel and pineapple chunks. Nutty and grainy with a cornflake edge. Chocolate coated peanuts.
Palate: Oily and coating then this ball of sweetness comes through. Really rich with fruit syrup and heathery honey. Some coffee grounds (fresh not used yet) and that nutty edge is there too.
Finish: Rich and lush. Very grippy and long. Slowly more cereal is revealed.
Comment: Hurray for grain, more and more great examples are being released.
