Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Quite vegetal at first. An earthy note – fresh turned earth. A carrot cake sweetness with Chantilly cream. There’s a menthol edge here too. Heavy old cotton blankets in a hot press. New leather shoes straight out of the box.
Palate: The fondant topping of the carrot cake. A great flying saucer sherbet sweetness to this; even feels fizzy too. The creamy oak comes through. A balsamic vinegar quality.
Finish: Juicy, full of sherbet sweetness.
Comment: Lovely and very enjoyable.

Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Really fresh. Almost perfume-like. Lots of delicate touches – pears, green apples and faint vanilla and coconut.
Palate: There’s greater vibrancy from the fruit here than was present on the nose. Both red and green apples open up with a fresh sweetness that leads into melon balls and segments of satsumas.
Finish: Long with wood finally emerging. The fruits fade out a little bit, but fizzle away slowly.
Comment: Has real potential to be a summer favourite. A lightness of touch gives way to fruit notes.
