Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Tomatoes, ketchup, burnt brown sugar, spicy tobacco and vanilla cream. A touch of dunnage warehouse too.
Palate: Sweet chilli, drying on spices. Oranges. There is a chewy oily element to this as well. More oak comes through.
Finish: Big and rich.
Comment: A stunning dram with great balance and layers.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense, deep. Rich toffee, polished furniture. An earthy touch. Damp cellar. Paint varnish. In time, dried fruit. Dates and raisins. Fragrant. Orange blossom.
Palate: Crisp, dry. Oak is more present than on the nose. But it is well integrated with fruit and spices. Vanilla toffee. Rhubarb crumble. Candied ginger.
Finish: Rich, lingering. Toffee and coffee.
Comment: A rich and complex Speysider, having made the best of a well mastered maturation in refill sherry casks.
