Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Grassy, herbal. Chives, rosemary. Quite prickly. A hint of mint and barley sugar. Opens on dry hay and a touch of sour apple. With water, putty.
Palate: Crisp and dry. Fizzy on the tongue, developing on an astringent note. Artichoke leaf.
Finish: In the same tune. Quite clean though.
Comment: The nose delivers more than the palate. Acceptable but that astringency is not so pleasant.
7.3
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fragrant and slightly Cognac like vine flower/orange blossom and pollen. Has good intensity and a sweet softness akin to golden syrup. With water that floral aspect continues: elderflower cordial and chamomile.
Palate: Soapy. That’s a shame after such an enchanting nose. Rasps are in there underneath the suds.
Finish: Dry and quite short.
Comment: Sadly the soapiness knocks it down.
