Tasting notes
Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: A very delicate and feminine nose. Rose petal and exotic polished sandalwood jewellery boxes. Peach skins, but becomes a little flat with water.
Palate: A lovely dry sweetness like pomegranate and cranberry. Delicious rich rumtopf flavours with a sprinkling of Moroccan spice.
Finish: An earthy dryness that makes it very more-ish.
Comment: It is so different from the old bottling. But if you are going to make a change you might as well make it radical. The result is great – I remain a loyal fan.
7.8
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Gentle and aromatic. Soft spices. Cinnamon, a touch of white pepper. Potpourri. Fudge. All sweet and mellow.
Palate: Sweet and soft. Cereal bowl. A bit weak at mid-palate. Dry apple. Getting spicier. Drying on a spicy festoon. Ginger and cinnamon.
Finish: Dry and spicy.
Comment: A spicy Highlander profile with a sweet malty core. A natural winter warmer up.
