Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: High ABV grain whisky. Incredibly exciting and inviting nose of the classics: soft marshmallow, chamois leather and vanilla. I’m really looking forward to trying this.
Palate: An odd almost curried note at the back of the mouth on this one, mixed with some banana and pulped plantain.
Finish: More of the curried spices and almonds.
Comment: Fantastic nose, the palate is… different.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Quite herbal and autumnal with burnt coffee / toffee, subtle dried fruit, both grain and sherry derived. The sherry makes it feel quite weighty and adds mature feeling wood notes along with a touch of green wood smoke.
Palate: Full and sherried, but sulphury. There is a touch of earth, prune, coffee, walnut and raisins.
Finish: Astringent with green wood and the sulphur lingering.
Comment: It’s interesting to note that the sulphur on the palate isn’t really noticeable on the nose.
