Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Herbal and peaty, but more earthy than medicinal. Peaches roasted over cherry wood, griddled pineapple chunks and a little air-dried ham too.
Palate: All that fruit rushes in followed by the sea. Wonderful marine notes, smoked oysters with tobacco leaf and spices. A mix of brown and white crab meat with smoked paprika and then smoked haddock as well.
Finish: Sweet and smoky coming in waves before slowly dissipating.
Comment: Like lying in the marram grass with an onshore breeze, crab sandwich in hand.
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Caramel chocolates, spearmint and stewed basil topped with under-ripe strawberries. A furniture polished bowl full of kiwis and violin rosin wrapped up in apple fruit leather.
Palate: A leathery texture with cherry marshmallows and mahogany, dusted with peppermint icing sugar. Coffee beans and white chocolate coated raisins with a metallic edge.
Finish: A beautifully warm and spicy note developing throughout with a little pear skin.
Comment: A bag of leathery, fruity goodness with metallic shavings.
