Tasting notes

Taster Mark Newton

Nose: Characterful and unusual. Charred meats with BBQ sauce. Chinese Five-spice. Sun-dried tomatoes. Peppermint. Red wine, blackcurrants, toffee. Charring note lingers.
Palate: Characterful and unusual. Charred meats with BBQ sauce. Chinese Five-spice. Sun-dried tomatoes. Peppermint. Red wine, blackcurrants, toffee. Charring note lingers.
Finish: Dry and peppery, with residual blackcurrants and tannins. Short perhaps?
Comment: A left-field offering, well-executed. Brilliant whisky coming out of Sweden.

Taster Laura Foster

Nose: Totally funkadelic. Tinned pineapples, acetone, a confected banana note, bandages and TCP, a warm cereal whisper in the back.
Palate: Rich, malty characters. Chocolate-malted barley specifically. Charcoal, orange zest, seaweed and sea salt. The banana sweets are till there, with everything laid out on a slate platter.
Finish: A warming tingle on the lips and more of that cereal, plus a brighter lemon note.
Comment: A neon dream of a whisky on the nose, much more traditional on the palate.
