Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fresh. Ozone and oak. Lifted aromas: sea thrift, lemon, malt/tablet, cinnamon bun, peaches in cream. A lovely nutty seaside (beech nuts?) air: brine, hot shells.
Palate: Fresh and bracing with mellow fruit (mango/orange) in yogurt, lemon, almond and then the sea.
Finish: Long, warm, soft.
Comment: This has an extra maritime edge and is disgracefully (dangerously) drinkable.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Fresh, clean. Distinctly flowery. Slightly oily.
Palate: Starts with a light, clean, taste of barley-malt. Then grassy sweetness. Becomes peppery in a series of small eruptions. Very lively. Very long.
Finish: Characteristic salt and iron emerging.
Comment: More rounded and restrained than I remember, but lots of flavour development in that long middle. Bring on the Islay oysters.
