Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Green tea, blossom honey and vanilla pod. Kiwi, jasmine and proving pizza dough. A touch of olive oil, saffron and butterscotch.
Palate: Medium bodied. More green tea and honey, with vanilla sponge cakes and butter icing. Sultana, poached pear, sage and white grape juice.
Finish: Medium-long, the vanilla cake and green tea lingers.
Comment: A very elegant, mature, well-integrated and delicate dram.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Wildflowers initially, followed by some lovely citrus notes – almost lime. Malted milk biscuits, covered in marmalade.
Palate: More of the citrus notes here, but then there’s a herbal edge with some sage into creamy vanilla fudge. Barley is very evident on the palate, followed by foam bananas and bread and butter pudding.
Finish: A little saltiness appears, with a lingering herbal edge.
Comment: Plenty of complexity here, the right combination of unexpected and traditional.
